Butterscotch Oat Drops

1 cup  butter or margarine, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups rolled oats

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

3 cups butterscotch chips

1 cup chopped nuts (optional) (pecans) 

Combine butter and both sugars in bowl.  Cream well.  Beat in eggs 1 at a time.  Add vanilla.

Measure in remaining ingredients.  Mix together.  Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.  Bake 350F oven for 8-10 mins.  Makes 6 dozen.
